Ministry Focus
As a follower and believer of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Elvis has seen throughout his Christian life the need for strong leadership in the churches of our century. This leadership will not be strengthened in seminaries but must be strengthened in the local church. For this reason, Elvis sees the need to begin training faithful leaders who can exercise spirituality and authority in the communities they will impact with a gospel-centered on the model of Jesus and his apostles.
Mission: To form churches with transformed leaders, to transform others.
Goal: To create leadership teams in the light of the Word, according to the gifts and talents the Lord has given them. To raise healthy and organic churches that can be established under the teachings of Jesus and his apostles and look at the history and trajectory of the early church.
Faith Story
Elvis was born into a Catholic family. When he was 12 years old, he decided to attend a Christian youth group in his community, which served as a conduit for him to get to know Jesus. He started working in the local church in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic, Centro Cristiano Bendicion. Then he moved to Santo Domingo, to study at the university and seminary, under the help of Pastor Felix Abreu. Pastor Felix introduced him to a serious study of the scriptures, through his preaching and serious studies, he introduced Elvis to the Central American Theological Seminary, which served as a source of knowledge for Elvis's approach to his Christian faith.
Elvis's wife, Monica was born in a Christian home and has served as a Sunday school teacher from an early age. The two met in seminary, where she was studying for a professorship in music. They got married in 2017 and went to serve in ministerio bendicion. Under the teachings of Pastor Felix, they learned and grew quite a bit in their faith. They lost two newborn babies, which experience served to see the powerful hand of God in many areas of our lives. They currently have their third baby Aaron Eliam which has been a miracle and an answer to the prayers that they ask so much of our Lord.
All this has served to make our mission of proclaiming and spreading the gospel stronger and clearer.

In a land of ancient cultures and perpetual spring, tradition and potential blend in daily life
As the birthplace of the ancient Mayan civilization, Guatemala represents a history rich in culture and religion. Within the primarily Catholic nation, many practicing Mayan people contribute to a mixture of traditions and beliefs.
Each Maya village has its own colorful style of weaving, perpetuated in local dress and in handcrafts sold internationally.
Guatemala's nickname, "the land of eternal spring," describes its year-round temperate climate. Fruits and vegetables grow in abundance. The geography varies from dense, sprawling rainforests, to black, sandy beaches, to rain-soaked highlands.
While having the largest economy in Central America, Guatemala also ranks among countries with the highest levels of inequality. Major cities and towns bustle with modern developments. Yet families in rural areas still face challenges of poverty, malnutrition and limited access to education.
Your participation with Missions Door advances leadership training, church planting and youth ministry in Guatemala.
