Annette Melton
FIELD
The work of reaching students for Jesus Christ on a campus that alternately appears on lists as the best party-school in America or the best place to “be to ski” in America can be a real challenge.
Many students are not even serious about their studies, much less the state of their souls. But Annette remembers the pull towards other things during her time at Colorado University - Boulder, and has a real compassion for those who are swayed by counterfeit joys.
Her goal is to be available to students, Christians and those who aren’t yet Christians, to show the reason they are searching for more in life (more joy and more purpose) is because it is available… and waiting for them in a relationship with Jesus Christ. He is the only hope any of us has.
FAITH
While living in Louisiana with her grandparents, Annette became a Christian at the age of 7. And though she would veer away from God’s presence and plan for her life in her college years in Colorado, she recommitted her life to Christ in her late 20s and has worked for Him on the CU-Boulder campus since the fall of 2004.
FAMILY
Annette was born and raised in Southern California, with many years also spent in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with her grandparents.
