Brian Crow
FIELD
Brian joined the campus ministry at Mt. Hood Community College in the fall of 2006. He’s been leading Bible studies, and planning for the upcoming semesters and events, as well as handling much of the communication with club members.
In the past, the ministry invited non-Christians one day each week to talk about the biblical Christian worldview as well as faith in general. These outreaches have been especially beneficial in shaping Brian’s understanding of the need for the presence of God on secular college campuses. He looks forward to the Bible studies, worship, and outreaches that are yet to come.
The college campus presents an ongoing hostile attitude toward Christianity, evidenced by increased tension among faculty and staff. Many students are given platforms by which they may preach the gospel of tolerance, and many individuals complain about intolerance by Christians. As a result it becomes increasingly more difficult to represent the gospel of Jesus Christ as a Good News proclamation. Please pray for Brian as he ministers in the campus setting.
FAITH
Brian accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and decided to follow His ways at about age 14. He realized, through a series of events, that the faith in God he had adopted from his parents was not genuinely his own. His mother had always told him that he accepted Christ when he was 5, but he never remembered it. Now he knows what it means to be wholly devoted to the LORD God Almighty.
FAMILY
Brian grew up in a wonderful Christian family with parents who love him abundantly. He has a younger sister named Alicia, who recently finished her studies at Ecola Bible School in Cannon Beach.
